Don’t deal with the Huntress group

Dave over at Davblog is complaining that the rcruitment agents Huntress sending him spam. So it’s not just me, then. Dave says he keeps asking them to remove him from their mailing list and his pleas are ignored. I’m sure that when I dealt with them I pursued them to remove my name from their database, and actually got a response confirming its removal. But clearly this was of no value. I still get spam from them. I read my mail with KMail specifically so I can bounce mails like these.

    Hi
this is about Huntress too. I got a call in the evening this week from one of their agents about a job. She wanted me to come in the next day and register and go for an interview. The job was one they had posted I had seen about a month ago and sent a CV. I was surprised to hear from them after such a length of time. When I looked at the job spec she next sent me it was a job description created in 2007. Maybe thats just an oversight of the employer.
I said I had an appointment on Wednesday and was free to go for an interview on Friday
This morning Thursday still have heard nothing whether to attend for an interview or not, have emailed her and got no reply.
Maybe the job is filled but the lack of response to my email I think is pretty bad.
And then I happened on this blog when trying to find out some details about this agency.

    Hi
this is just to update on my experience with Huntress. I waited on Thursday and got no reply.
I emailed Vicky ( the agent who contacted me) on Friday mentioning that I had added my comments to this blog. My phone rang immediately.
It was Vicky telling me she had emailed me on Thursday in reply to my email to say the post was filled.
There was no email from her in my mail box.
I asked them not to contact me again.
And on Friday evening I got a call from her manager Clair who forwarded to me an email sent by Vicky on that Thursday to say the post was filled etc. This had been sent at 11.15 an hour after I emailed wanting to know what was happening. I never received it. The manager forwarded it to me as proof it had been sent.
Vicky had made an arrangement with me to attend an interview on Friday, – to come and register with them in the morning and attend the interview in the afternoon.

However after phoning me and arranging that she had sent other people to interview on the Wednesday and the post was filled on Wednesday.

I emailed her Thursday – and according to the email I didnt receive she emailed me back that day. However two questions remain: if she had organized other people to attend for an interview on Wednesday surely she should have told me the post might be filled by one of those candidates and made only a provisional arrangment with me for the Friday?

The position for me was that: as I had told her. I would I set aside Friday to be available for an interview, for a job that was gone since Wednesday.

Secondy the email sent was a good hour after I asked for a reply explaining in my email that I had only a short time on the computer this was at 10:15 and could she reply and let me know as I would have no access to my emails the rest of that day. Her email that her manager forwarded was sent at 11:15.
I think it appears to have been some techincal problem either with my email or with theirs that I didn’t receive the email so I have to apologise for assuming she hadnt sent any reply. The reply from her manager forwarded shows an email was sent though too late for me to pick it up.I have no idea why the email was not showing in my email account.

My girlfriend until recently was fired from Huntress and it seems to me that they are not only unprofessional, they offer no training to their consultants and they are bare faced liers. Not only this; in my opinion they operate their business in an extremly unprofessional way. They also tell their clients as a sales tool that they have the lowest turnover of staff within the recruitment industry, this is however not true!! which begs the question why are they in the list for The Times top 100 employers. I am also dying to find out what the gossip is from Mike.

Hey all i have recently left Huntress after 2.5 years on and off and after reading through the comments i must agree you seem to have the culture down to a tee “liars” they think they are invinsible that they can string people on and tell them what ever they need to hear to make the deal/take the job Huntress gives sales and recruitment a bad name they have no morals when it comes to sales. i am hardcore sales very good at my job and would screw most for the next deal however im relevent truthful and therefore charge great rates for great candidates where at huntress you are taught to liar your way blag your way the arrogance and a previous lucrutive market has allowed this behaviour lets see how they do in the credit crunch when quality is more of an issue – so far not so good they have had the worst financial June to date planning on makeing 15 redundancies across senior managers to consultants all i have left to say is HAHAHA good luck with that one then x
