When baby boomers start losing their sight

When baby boomers get old they get sold all the same things that previous generations of old people got sold, but with really idiotic twists that only they would be impressed with. Today’s gem is the CliC reading glasses:

Clumsy cases, flimsy folding glasses, or the “granny chain we are all too familiar with, are just not practical in today’s high tech, fast paced world. [...CliC's CEO says:] “With the Baby Boomer Generation coming to a point in life where they need readers, they still want something fashionable and unique. They reach for CliC readers. CliC readers are a new advance in eyewear with substantial improvements over the traditional solution to reading only glasses. The most innovative feature is the patented magnetic closure. This allows CliC readers to use a combined adjustable headband and CliC Readers neck strap which means not only do CliC readers stay in place while you are wearing them but also hang comfortably when not in use.

So: they’re reading glasses, but the bridge between the lenses is magnetic. This helps them “stay in place while you are wearing them”. Which, let’s be honest, is even more likely to happen if the bridge didn’t come apart. Like on normal glasses. But wait! They also “hang comfortably when not in use”. How so? With a bit of string round the back! Just like every generation before has used.

Baby boomers, we really do love you. But not for the reasons you think.
