Apparently…

According to the New York Times, the US military is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to send scientists on a screenwriting course in Los Angeles, with the aim of producing movies and television shows that portray scientists in a flattering light.

We look forward to…

Professor White and the Seven Dwarves - Professor White hides from her wicked Vice Chancellor, seeking refuge with seven dwarves. Initially hostile to her, she wins them over by teaching them basic chemistry and the scientific method. When the Vice Chancellor puts her into a coma with a poisoned apple the dwarves use their new-found scientific knowledge to publish a paper on toxicological reactions of organic compounds in citrus fruit.

Matrix: Transformations - Keanu Reeves is shocked to discover that what he thought was the real world is in fact a large grid of numbers in big parentheses called “The Matrix”, and that he is merely one such number, known as “The 1″. He learns to manipulate this world when he creates his own grid, and multiplies the two together.

Spider-Man - Young Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is bitten by a radioactive spider and develops an amazing small bump on his finger. When he squeezes it he finds he must do battle with the evil Green Globule. He is victorious when he uses his scientific knowledge to create his own disinfectant. In the sequel the young hero wrestles with his own identity when the city newspaper alleges that a spider is not an animal, it’s an insect.
