To the horror of delegates and later of TV viewers, Walter Wolfgang appeared to be grabbed by the collar from his seat and manhandled out of the Brighton venue.

To think it was only Tuesday that Tony Blair addressed the conference and said “Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — for ever.”
I think that was him, anyway. Didn’t expect the future would arrive so soon after that.
