London Energy’s failed processes
My last gas bill from London Energy included an estimated reading so wildly inaccurate they calculated I owed them over a £1000 (compared to the usual fiver). They sent me a letter saying they needed to increase my direct debit. So I called them up last week with a correct reading, and they said they’d send out a corrected bill and restore the original direct debit. A week later I hadn’t got the new bill. So I called them again. Turns out it’s being held back because the increased direct debit still needs approval. Grrr.
I originally switched to London Energy because they were cheaper than British Gas. Unfortunately that process was delayed for 3 months because they mistakenly switched my neighbour instead.
I can see where they’re making their savings.
