Toy of the moment
Toy of the moment is this, called Geomag, from some kind Santas in Bury St. Edmunds. The rods are magnetic, the ball bearings are just ball bearings. They stick together like crazy and are just fantastic fun. (The website has some good pictures but is slightly embarassing. It needs translation by someone who has English as a first language and is more in tune with UK sensibilities.) I even went out tonight to find some more, to expand my very small set. Found a couple of clones along the way, but they don’t have quite the panache of (what I assume is) the original.

Oh, I can already see the wasted hours stretching before me…
