Racism goes round and round
I love easy research. Conservative councillor Ellenor Bland has been suspended after she sent an e-mail with a racist poem. According to the Guardian
It later emerged that someone had also posted the doggerel on the website of Boris Johnson, the shadow higher education secretary.
though of course it had nothing to do with him. Racism goes round and round, and typing a phrase from the poem into Google (using quotes to ensure the words stay together) I found it referenced in a June 1994 article in Reason Magazine (”Free minds and free markets”). And no doubt it’s far older even than that. Not funny, not new.
