New game seeks new name
This weekend we played a new game, far more jolly than the dusty Country, County, Town. Someone chooses a theme, and then everyone writes a paragraph on that using only words without the letter E. Then you read them out. And that’s it. No winners, though inevitably someone makes a slip and gets drowned by cries of “Ee!” from the others as they’re reading their piece.
For the record here was my attempt (best as I remember it) when the subject was “hunting”.
A fox ran across Mrs Brown’s grassland. Could Raymond outrun that crying pack of humans and hounds? On, on, on, into thick woodland and towards his burrow. But what was this? His doorway was shut off. Raymond was dogfood.
Now this game needs a good name. Suggestions welcome.
